Hi

Restoring false information and non-notable articles[edit]

Please stop putting back the single and EP articles for TCG and restoring the bad version of the album article. The album article was full of false information, and the single and EP articles do not get a single, per WP:MUSIC.Kww (talk) 13:56, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fuego[edit]

Why not Fuego? What information would be in an article that doesn't fit into TCG? It doesn't meet the requirements of WP:MUSIC, either ... it hasn't been performed by multiple artists, and there isn't enough information about it to justify anything bigger than a stub.

Please remember, this is about the amount of information available. It isn't a status contest. Very few of The Cheetah Girls songs qualify for their own articles, because they don't chart, and don't get attention from mainstream reviewers. Same thing happens with Vanessa Hudgens, Demi Lovato, and a few other Disney artists.Kww (talk) 15:33, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Being "the most important song of The Cheetah Girls" isn't the point. The point is that if someone types in "Fuego (Cheetah Girls song)" over in the search box, they get taken to all the information there is in Wikipedia about the song. They do. If you can find a large number of reviews, critical reactions, other artist that claim that they were inspired by the song, or other things like that, add them to the appropriate section of TCG. If it gets too big, then it gets split out. Singles aren't supposed to have their own articles except for unusual cases. I know, a lot of people make single articles when they shouldn't, but I'm trying to take care of that.Kww (talk) 15:40, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I plan on eliminating all of their single articles that don't qualify under WP:MUSIC. These things take time. Please notice that I am not deleting information, or taking away anything. I spent a few hours creating that TCG article, making sure that every fact and image from all of the related articles was kept. I'll do the same for their other albums over the next few weeks.Kww (talk) 15:48, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reformatted your change a little bit. Please find a source for the debut positions for the video on MTV. If you can't find a reliable source (not a blog, not a fansite ... something from somewhere that does fact checking), then I'll have to delete that sentence. If you don't know the rules for sourcing, please see WP:RS.Kww (talk) 16:07, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll wait a few days before I delete it, and see if anyone else provides a source. Please remember to only add information that you have sources for. If it doesn't have a source, it gets deleted. That is why the articles are in such bad shape ... people keep adding things that they think are true, but can't prove are true. Then, when two editors fight, no one can tell who's right. That's why Wikipedia insists on sources, and why information without sources gets deleted.Kww (talk) 16:15, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheetah Love[edit]

The guideline is at WP:MUSIC#Songs. Please read it. After you read it, please tell me if you think that Cheetah Love gets an article under that guideline.Kww (talk) 11:29, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you read the guideline. Lets go through it slowly:
  • Most songs do not merit an article and should redirect to another relevant article, such as for a prominent album or for the artist who wrote or prominently performed the song.
  • Based on this sentence, Cheetah Love doesn't get an article.
  • Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable.
  • By this sentence, Cheetah Love doesn't get an article.
  • A separate article is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album.
  • By this sentence, Cheetah Love has been merged to the album it came from.
You asked why some other songs have articles: there's a guideline about that question, too:WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. There are a lot of articles on Wikipedia that shouldn't exist. I can't fix all of them overnight. One reason it takes a long time is that when I fix something, people keep breaking it again.Kww (talk) 11:44, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Radio Disney[edit]

Radio Disney isn't a verifiable chart based on sales figures. WP:CHARTS is our guideline on charts, and Radio Disney is discussed [here].Kww (talk) 11:32, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been reported for sockpuppeting[edit]

It's pretty obvious that Brianyau323 and Cheetahbrian are the same person. Using both accounts to vote on the same AFD is cheating. You have been reported at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Brianyau323.Kww (talk) 23:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
