August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ingenuity. I noticed that you recently removed content from Paleoproteomics without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 17:33, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to propose merging Paleoproteomics into Ancient protein. It seems that the content in Paleoproteomics could be illustrated and explained in the context of Ancient Protein, and a merger would not result in any article-size or weighting problems in the destination page. Many thanks and please let me know if you have any concerns. I have already started the merging process, since these are duplicate pages and the need is not controversial. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Paleoproteomics, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 17:42, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Paleoproteomics into Ancient protein. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 00:05, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
