Union Squares!

[edit]

Hi there-

It looks like you and Davidbober have created two different Union Square articles within days of each other -- one at Union Square (Baltimore) and the other Union Square, Baltimore. Obviously Wikipedia shouldn't have two articles on the same thing! Can I request that the two of work together on a combined article? --Jfruh 19:54, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you! I'm new here and obviously put my foot in it. You're right and great minds must think alike... you must have been posting your note just as I was in the process of proposing a merge. (I hope I did that part right. LOL!) Just as I clicked to post the proposed merge, your message popped up. I haven't heard anything from David Bober, yet. BTW, I am the webmaster for the Union Square Online web site: http://www.union-square.us

BTW, it's probably obvious I don't know how to reply to this type of message so I did this way. Is there a more appropriate method?

Hi Chris!
You can reply here or on my talk page -- to get there just put "user talk:" in front of my user name like so: User talk:Jfruh.
Also, when commenting on people's talk pages on your own, you can add a signature to the end of your text by putting two dashes followed by four tildes. This causes Wikipedia to auto-generate your user name and the time you added your entry, like thus. --Jfruh 20:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again! Wow, I have so much to learn. I really appreciate your patience and the instructions. Who says you can't teach an old dog some new tricks! --Chris Everett 20:38, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will Redirect

[edit]

Hi Chris. Your article is miles better. I was just working down the list of red links on List of Baltimore neighborhoods and Union Square, Baltimore was just one I happened to pick. I will blank my article and redirect to Union Square (Baltimore). Davidbober 15:19, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, David -
Thanks for the kind words. It's funny all this happened almost simultaneously. I got an email from something called "dirpedia" and, when I was looking at it, I finally explored the wonderful world of Wikipedia. BTW, when I said "Thanks for the kind words," I also meant some of the content from your article... you will see I put some of your information in my article because it was so articulate and to the point... as you can see, I have trouble being concise. LOL! Warmest regards and thanks again, --Chris Everett 19:37, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:WashingtonSquareMoviePoster.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:WashingtonSquareMoviePoster.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:07, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
