A tag has been placed on Playing with Gaia... discovering the spirit of Mother Earth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. advice

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article. To copy advice from the deleted talk page there, you said

My Book was sold at Book of Knowledge, so they put my title on their page. I also did a book reading there. Immediate deletion is unnecessary. Thanks!

An editor correctly replied

The book may meet notability guidelines but not in the current form. The current article is copied word for word from a copyrighted source. As an author I'm sure you can appreciate protecting the copyright of another writer. Also as the author of this book, you need to stay away from this article as you have conflict of interest and any edits you make are going to likely be seen as promotional of the book.--RadioFan (talk) 20:59, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To explain a little further

as for notability, this depends on the notability of your work-- see WP:CREATIVE. It would depend upon whether the Moonbeam awards is to be considered significant [1]. This will depend upon references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. For books, this is normally shown by book reviews. As you have so far published only one book, the article should normally be about you, not the book--if you have the references
as for copyvio, even if you got us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone with not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable.-- as indeed the tone of this is not. Praise is not wanted, but facts, and a short neutral description of the book. For further information see our FAQ about business, organisations, and articles like this--much of it applies.
