Conflict of interest policies

[edit]

Hi there! You seem to be very interested in this conductor Andrew Gourlay, and not in any other subject. Besides the article about him, you also seem to have created a sub-section in the Wikipedia page on the opera Parsifal, a sub-section which consists entirely of an announcement that a collection of orchestral excerpts from the opera, conducted by Gourlay, is commercially available. The source you cite for this information is the producing company's newsletter for customers.

I have no doubt that you are editing in good faith; however, now might be a good time for you to review Wikipedia's guidelines about creating, or editing, articles about subjects you are personally or professionally involved with. I especially recommend to your attention the section about covert advertising and the laws and jurisprudence which pertain to it.
