Proposal to collaborate on Gabriel of Urantia material

[edit]

Hello User:Clear insight, I appreciate your byline on your user page. I took, am interested in spiritual matters in as unbiased of a way as possible. Full disclosure: I am a Urantia Book reader, but I strive to be as objective and neutral as I can about it on Wikipedia.

I see over time you've contributed to some of the following pages:

Would you be interested in collaborating with me on simplifying/consolidating them? I saw a proposal on Talk:CosmoPop to consolidate all material into a page about Gabriel of Urantia (though we'd have to use his birth name, per MOS::LEGALNAME). There are multiple, independent, reliable secondary sources covering his activities over the years.

User:WikiDan61 also seems to have expressed interest in this topic, and he is a WikiPedia Master Editor here and perhaps he could offer us some guidance, advice, or leadership on the matter? Brad606 (talk) 16:20, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've been somewhat inactive on Wikipedia lately, real life having called me away. I'm not sure I have the bandwidth to do the deep dive needed to clean up and consolidate all of the material about CosmoPop and Gabriel of Urantia. I do wish you luck with the effort though!
Thanks! I'll go ahead and begin the effort solo if I don't hear anything from you User:Clear insight by Fri 12 Feb 2021. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brad606 (talkcontribs) 18:50, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Brad606,

Yes, I'd be interested in working with you on this. What kind of edits did you have in mind?

Great, I'm interested to get your thoughts on my initial idea. I've added two sections below with my initial ideas Talk:Clear insight. Please let me know what you think, edit the outline directly, add comments, etc. SInce you know Anthony and his work so well, I think you can help a lot! Outline for Anthony Delevin new article

[edit]
  • Opening. Start with something like "Anthony Deleven (born 1946), also known as Gabriel of Sedona, Gabriel of Urantia, and Taliasvan, is a spiritual teacher, minister, and musician who most known for co-founding a spiritual organization that has been located in several places throughout Arizona." (we would work on the best version of this, of course... that's just a 5-minute sketch)
  • Biography. Section with his short biography.
  • Global Community Communication Alliance. Simplify and move Global Community Communications Alliance to this section, and then redirect that page to Anthony's main page.
  • Avalon Gardens. Greatly simplify and move Avalon Organic Gardens & EcoVillage now that it is not in operation. Then delete/redirect that page.
    • Alternatively, since it's no longer in operation, this could be simplified into a few sentences and added to the Biography section.
  • Musical Recordings. Condense and move the CosmoPop article into this section, ass suggested in Talk:CosmoPop, and then redirect that page to Anthony's main page.
    • Ensure "CosmoPop" is mentioned overtly in here. A "selected recordings" list might be more appropriate than a full discography.
  • External Links. Link to GCCA and any other relevant sites (e.g. does he have a recording-artist page where his music can be seen or bought?)

After cleanup is complete, I'd suggest some light cleanup of other pages in Wikiepdia that link to this material:

If you have a conflict of interest in regard to this article, as is suggested above, it would of course be appropriate to note this when making any comments at the AfD discussion. AndyTheGrump (talk) 04:32, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
