Your edits to Islam[edit]

You may want to discuss major changes like yours on the discussion page. I've reverted them for now, although it's great that you are being bold. Editors here have to reach a consensus with huge changes like that on sensitive topics, such as religion. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 22:06, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I will be glad to do that.

Muhammad (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) in other scriptures[edit]

السلام عليكم

regarding your recent contribs to talk:Muhammad- i think it's best to stick to discussion about how the article could be improved. what you need to do in order for your point to be included in the article is to produce some decent sources which claim this then we can say "According to so and so, there are references to Muhammad in other scriptures such as. . . " etc. posting the arguments, which are certainly plausible, on the talk page will probably not further your case in putting mention of it in the article. i think the best thing to do is find some decent sources, even if they are sources which just represent the Muslim viewpoint, and then put them in the article using the suggested formulation. thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:LifeMakers_Logo.svg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:LifeMakers_Logo.svg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ElinorD (talk) 21:54, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Call for Wikipedians in Residence in Africa[edit]

Hello,

I hope you are well and thriving!! WikiAfrica has just put out a call for two Wikipedians in Residence. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell@doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf@africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

If you are not interested in applying, I would be very grateful if you could spread this call far and wide among your networks to ensure that both projects get excellent candidates. Here is the link for the information page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/two-wikipedians-in-residence-for-africa/

Best regards, Islahaddow
