[edit]Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Surrealism. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. --Rrburke(talk) 02:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi... you should explain in more detail on the talk page what's wrong with the citations before removing the section again. Your changes have a much greater chance of staying in place if you can specify more precisely what your objection is. --Rrburke(talk) 02:13, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have no opinion on the material you've removed. My sole point was to point out that your changes are likely to be reverted by other editors without a precise explanation of your rationale. If you think the section you've removed was placed there for the purpose of self-promotion of non-noteworthy artists, you may wish to read Wikipedia's policy on self-promotion, which is called Wikipedia is not a soapbox, known by the short form WP:SOAP. Regarding whether a subject is noteworthy, it might be useful to consult Wikipedia:Notability. The more precise you are about your objections to the material you've removed, the more likely your edit is to stand.
- Please also remember to use an edit summary which concisely summarizes the rationale for your edits, or directs editors to the article talk page where you have explained your rationale in greater detail. --Rrburke(talk) 02:31, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please review WP:3RR policy, you are on the borderline of a violation and in danger of being blocked from editing. Thanks Modernist 03:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
