Username issue

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Securepharmaltd", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 12:50, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest in Wikipedia

[edit]

\Hi Corin at Secure I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia, as well as articles about health. Based on your username, you are here representing Secure Pharma, which markets Femarelle in Europe.

Information icon Hello, Corin at Secure. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Comments and procedure

[edit]

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review.

You have already disclosed the COI, so now for the "peer review" part. What that means in Wikipedia, is offering edits on the Talk page for others to review instead of directly editing the article. Going forward, please do not edit the article directly, but rather offer suggestions at the article's Talk page. You can do that easily - and provide notice to the community of your request - by using the "edit request" function as described in the conflict of interest guideline. I made that easy for you by adding a section to the beige box at the top of the Talk page - there is a link at "click here" in that section -- if you click that, the Wikipedia software will automatically format a section in which you can make your request. Thanks. You can reply here if you have any questions or want to discuss anything, or you can ask at the article Talk page.

You may also want to read Wikipedia:Statement on Wikipedia from participating communications firms and Conflict-of-interest editing on Wikipedia. Jytdog (talk) 12:16, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You went ahead and edited the article directly. Please don't do that, but rather propose changes on the Talk page. Please let me know that you will do that. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 12:36, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Note - I cut the message below from my Talk page here and pasted below, to keep the discussion in one place. Jytdog (talk) 08:27, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your information Jytdog,
I have read the COI link that you sent me, i support it, although i didn't try to sell or promote the product through Wikipedia.
The information and references that you shared in the article on Femarelle were incorrect, you may check it again. now, the Femarelle article is very narrow and does not contain very much information, positive, negative or informative. It might as well be deleted from Wikipedia.
All i am trying to write here is that the article should be adjusted with the correct information and refernces, it should be edited once again and with accurate in-depth and informative,
Every time i edited this article with published scientific work you for some reason deleted my work.
I am about to upload all the scientific data known to date, if for any reason something might seem incorrect, you are invited to edit it based on published scientific data.
Therefore, i am asking you, or any other medical editors with no COI to re-edit Femarelle article, with the correct information and references.
Thank you. Corin at Secure (talk) 06:26, 22 July 2015 (UTC)corin at secure[reply]
Thanks very much for replying and for having taken the time to read the COI guideline and your respect for it. So thanks. We can discuss the content issues at the article's talk page. Jytdog (talk) 10:34, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppetting

[edit]

Hi Corin. Please know that you can only use one account here. User:קוריןבןקים appears to you as well. You are new here and didn't know that this is against policy (please see WP:SOCK). Since this account has the clear COI disclosure, please abandon the other account (we cannot delete accounts in WP). Please acknowledge that you will do that. Thanks!
