[edit]Thank you for your e-mailed message ("What was the problem with my contribution to the Julian Alps site? I think I did write some useful text, as the site is quite incomplete!"). Regarding the removal, please see WP:USERG regarding content from blogs. I suggest that the material you wish to add be contributed to the Wikivoyage project because it has a promotional / tourist guide character (see also WP:PROMOTION, WP:NOTGUIDE).
