It was totally an honest mistake. I was editing stuff in English Channel, came across "defence" and thought it was misspelled. He was totally an ass about it, too. The British sure do cherish their spelling. Kajmal 04:56, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- He seems to spend most of his time in rearguard actions against American spelling. He's been a Wikipedian for a long time, and I think has lost the ability to be polite. But in the particular case of what he said about Webster on your page, he's actually flat wrong. --Cultural Freedom 2006-07-22 09:38 (UTC)
