Reliable sources
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of equipment of the Bangladesh Army without citing a reliable source. Most websites are not reliable sources. Millisavunma.com, for example, is a self-published Wordpress blog, so not reliable. Defseca.com was recently discussed at the reliable sources noticeboard, where it was unanimously found not reliable.
There are only a few broad and reliable sources about the Bangladesh military: The Military Balance, various publications of Jane's, FlightGlobal's World Air Forces, and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Intermittent reports by other reputable organizations, such as the United Nations or the Bonn International Center for Conversion, may be reliable, but are usually narrowly focused. Bangladesh government documents are also reliable, but are generally narrow and are primary sources, so care must be taken with their use. The websites of mainstream reputable news organizations, such as the BBC News, The Daily Star, and Prothom Alo are acceptable for changes within the last 2-3 years (ones that may be too recent to have made it into the broad sources above), as are manufacturer's websites. If their "news" isn't confirmed by the broad reliable sources above within a few years, however, we shouldn't continue to rely upon it. Few journalists are military experts, and manufacturers have incentives to exaggerate and distort facts. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:19, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
