Go to Talk:Czech Republic and ask for the article on the country to be renamed to Czechia. Do not continue trying to restore a link that is different from the article's title. I will keep reverting these edits. If the article is titled "Czech Republic" the rest of pages will use "Czech Republic". If it is renamed to "Czechia" the rest will use "Czechia". I don't think the articles name is important at all as it mentions both names but sure, I can do that.
Yet the Czech government has stated it already in the year 2016 - that "Czechia" *is" the official shortened name and should be used the same way as "Germany" or "France". It's disrespectful to the government and the country to ignore the fact they literally made it official.
Also, sorry that I didn't notice this sooner. Czechhh (talk) 12:34, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am actually in favor of using Czechia, and I use it colloquially. But there's also the policy of WP:CONSISTENT asking for order and harmony among articles in aspects like names we use. As the writer of that article I'd like it to follow this policy. No problem though. Thanks for being understanding. Super Ψ Dro 16:29, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
