I am wondering is it okay to mark opinionated statements as such so as to alert readers, that the writer is expressing an opinion or bias that may not pertain to the facts of the entry

For example I ran across a page on Pediatrics it was very short, and the one subject of the topic was on the social standing, it included words like misconception followed shortly by social status, and then referring to the work hours as unsociable. I marked both with † and listed beneath the subject that † denotes opinion. Just curious in the future is this method acceptable or should rewording or removal of opinion be done? There's a selection of codes you can add to statements like that. One common one is {{citation needed}}, which displays as ^{[citation needed]}; some others are listed and explained at Template:Citation needed/doc. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:27, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
