Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. - Hello, if I am not permitted to add a link to good information because I've resourced the information, written it, and published it myself, that's absolutely fine, I understand. But can you please ensure your rules are applied to everyone and every entity, or alternatively explain why certain links are permitted whilst others are not. For example:

- The links I added went to solid information, and information only. There is no advertising on any of the pages I linked to, the same can not be said of the external links I found that I have listed above. All of which took me 10 minutes to find! - Forgive me for extending this chat way beyond what was necessary, and I accept what you say about personal sites, but are you telling me that the site being linked to in the examples I provided is not a personal blog? If so, can you please explain why, because I cannot see any difference between that site and my site other than my information is better, more up to date and has no advertising?
