Welcome

Hello DanielRigal/2006 and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. Try to be civil by following simple guidelines and signing your talk comments with ~~~~ but never forget that one of our central tenets is to ignore all rules.

If you want to learn more, Wikipedia:Tutorial is the place to go, but eventually the following links might also come in handy:

Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy. If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 19:10, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Circle Line

Hey, Dan - thanks for adding the planned future proposals for the Circle Line in the article - as you may notice, I've talked about them in the talk page, but I had no references. But I do remember seeing a map showing the new route - do you by any chance have a copy? Or any more information? I would be very interested to see it, if you have any. Thanks! There is an unofficial map at http://www.trainweb.org/tubeprune/SSL%20PPP%20Upgrade.htm. I have added this to the External Links section. The map is a little bit dubious as it shows the District Line continuing to run up to Edgware Road. I did look for official links on both Metronet's site and TfL's but but couldn't find any. Metronet's site is not very informative and TfL don't seem to want to talk about Metronet projects as they pretty much hate eachother. I am aware of a need to be cautious when relying in information on the unofficial sites but AlwaysTouchOut is run by a guy doing an MSc in Transport at Imperial College and seems pretty reliable. I think it is OK for the plan to be in the main article so long as it is made clear that it is only a plan. I have edited it slightly to make that clearer. --DanielRigal 12:26, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Done. --DanielRigal 09:54, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi. Firstly, please accept my apologies. I removed the portal link from the article as it was causing a problem with the layout of the article in the top right section; text from the introduction was pushed onto the infobox. The reason I entered on my edit summary that the portal link was unneccesary is that I thought it was with articles and that links were meant to be added to associated talk pages in the same way as WikiProject tags are. I'm sorry about that, please add the link back if it should be there. :( Wikiwoohoo 13:53, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

I see that you have already put it back. Thanks for that, and for the clarification. I was worried that I was doing something wrong as I had never done a portal link before. Now I know it is OK I will add them when it seems appropriate. --DanielRigal 19:52, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
