Greetings. Can you provide additional WP:Reliable sources that demonstrate the notability of Marcus Booth. Thanks, PDCook (talk) 20:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

January 2010[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Marcus Booth. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. PDCook (talk) 20:49, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Marcus Booth has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable due to lack of significant coverage in WP:Reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PDCook (talk) 14:28, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed the references you have provided and they certainly do mention Mr. Booth. However, they are either considered unreliable sources or they mention him only in passing. References that demonstrate notability are needed. Sources affiliated with the subject, while acceptable to provide biographical information, cannot be used to establish notability. Blogs seldom are considered reliable. The other references only briefly mention Mr. Booth. For example, articles in newspapers or magazines ABOUT Mr. Booth would help establish his notability. Based on what I've reviewed, I don't think he passes the requirements of WP:Bio. Also, please do not remove maintenance templates without discussing or resolving the issue. Deletion of Marcus Booth‎[edit]

You don't have to request speedy deletion. We can put the article up for AfD to see what more people think. My opinion is just one of many! PDCook (talk) 23:14, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
