"Never underestimate stupid people in large numbers." ~dannymusiceditor's Dad
Appeal to Reason
Hi... yes, I'd noticed the history of this and related pages was a complete mess, including the creation of an incorrect and unnecessary new page Appeal to Reason (band). I started moving pages when I realised the previous editor had made a bigger mess of it than I'd thought, so I stopped before I made things worse. I think this needs some admin work to recover the history of the original album article, which seems to have disappeared. Apologies if anything I did made things more difficult. Richard3120 (talk) 04:02, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Richard3120, no problem, I have done just that - now we just wait for his response. Just wanted to notify you that it has in fact been properly reviewed - going on 13 years now. dannymusiceditor oops 04:05, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I appreciate you stepping in, I was wondering who I should contact to sort out the mess, it didn't seem like a job for WP:RM. I also chose my words carefully and said "I didn't believe" it hadn't been GA reviewed, but of course that's because I couldn't find the history to be able to check... I knew most of Rise Against's other albums are also GAs, so it was very possible that this one was too. Anyway, thanks very much for sorting it out. Richard3120 (talk) 04:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Silver Side Up edit warring
Hello DannyMusicEditor. You recently reverted an edit I made on the page Silver Side Up, itself a revert of a previous edit you had made. Technically, you have now engaged in an edit war with me. As you likely know, since you appear to be an experienced editor, edit warring is frowned upon on Wikipedia. I suspect I know your motive for reverting my edit, and I do not disagree with it (North American dates more often being written using the mdy date format, right?), but you haven't stated this in your explanation; instead, you simply wrote "that shouldn't even be here". This is not a sufficient explanation within the scope of the democratic project that Wikipedia is. Please take note. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 16:19, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Revirvlkodlaku, when I am certain the person who reverted me made the wrong call, which I was, I will usually attempt a second revert with my edit summary. Never further than that. I know the existence of WP:3RR. I disagree that "that shouldn't even be here" was insufficient, as you seem to have figured it out. dannymusiceditor oops 01:03, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
- DannyMusicEditor, fair enough about the second revert. Yes, I figured out why you did it, but not because your explanation made it obvious; rather because I've been revisiting my universal use of the dmy format recently. A different user might not have understood your reasoning, that's why I think a more complete explanation would have been better :) Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 01:50, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
DannyMusicEditor, I wasn't sure whether you'd seen that the replacement reviewer has made a post of issues to be addressed. Please stop by when you can to start work on the nomination. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:28, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Wellerman
Hi Danny, thanks for your nice polite comment. I don’t want an edit war either, so by all means leave it as a shanty; it’s hardly earth-shaking, after all.

June 2021
Your user page seems to say that you are busy in school though you might consider doing something on GAN. I have recently nominated the group BTS currently getting about 30K daily page views. After some preparations, I nominated it for GAN however the reviews in the "Music" category at GAN are currently at a standstill with zero reviews presently taking place in the "Music" category. Is there any chance you might consider a review for the article at this time? ErnestKrause (talk) 22:55, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- ErnestKrause, I have taken note of the discussion on the article's talk page. I agree with the others that you yourself should not have nominated the page without at least consulting a major contributor.
- In any case, I am not prepared to review something as exhaustive as BTS' page is at this time. It is true, I am not as busy in school now that it's summer in America. But I am also completely unknowledgeable about that area in music, hate to disappoint, and I cannot in good confidence review it with proper judgment to coverage in the article. I apologize, dannymusiceditor oops 17:33, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
