November 2009[edit]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Objections to evolution‎. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Dawn Bard (talk) 03:17, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Objections to evolution. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Dawn Bard (talk) 03:33, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

arguments against evolution[edit]

Yes it does appear i am in some kind of edit war, i have posted something on the talk page now, i didnt cite any references because i was just adding on to the table with some more infomation from the reference above, the talk page explains it in more detail — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darwinftw (talkcontribs) 23:16, 12 November 2009

Hi, Darwinftw, a couple of hints. First, you've been forgetting to sign your postings on talk pages by typing (or copying and pasting) ~~~~ and secondly, if you're making an edit to an article, say what you're doing in the edit summary box below the editing box, then people will know more of your intentions – unexplained edits are more likely to be reverted. When you do want to cite more from the same inline reference, give the reference a name if it's not already got one, i.e. change <ref> to <ref name=fred>, then repeat that named reference tag after the additional information but with a slash added, thus <ref name=fred/> and you get two citations to the same reference. Having said that, I think your proposal was going into a bit much detail, something to get agreement about on the article talk page before adding it again.
