Hello

[edit]

I'm also a meteorologist (or perhaps a climatologist) from the UK; so welcome again. If you find yourself in need for any advice on the workings of wiki, do ask me. William M. Connolley 16:55, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I sometimes say climatologist to avoid having to explain again that it's nothing to do with meteors. Deditos 13:51, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History of meteorology

[edit]

In your History of meteorology article, be sure to keep a list of your references; it will help greatly with future improvements to the article once you move it to the main space. -Runningonbrains 19:31, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, you're quite right, applies also to the history of met. changes I've made to the Meteorology article. Deditos 14:12, 31 October 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Comments needed

[edit]

You are receiving this message because you are listed as an active participant in WikiProject Meteorology, WikiProject Severe weather, and/or WikiProject Non-tropical storms. I have made a proposal to start an official assessment page for these three projects, under the WP:METEO banner. Since this would need significant participation to work properly, I'd like input from as many interested parties as possible (even those who may not watch the project pages), so please visit the discussion here and leave your thoughts/opinions. Thanks! -RunningOnBrains 02:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
