Information icon Hello, I'm OluwaCurtis. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Derek Blasberg seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —OluwaCurtis »» (talk to me) 09:34, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:47, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Derek Blasberg shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
As you appear to be the subject of the article I have some sympathy but please do not continue to edit the page. If other editors raise issues that you wish to contend please discuss at the article talk page.

I have placed full protection on the page for 48 hours, note the protection does not imply any support or preference for the version protected. Nthep (talk) 17:56, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for holding the page. I am Derek Blasberg and I recently updated my page to reflect my jobs at Vanity Fair and Gagosian Gallery. The user mentioned above repeatedly reverted to an old version that said I worked at Harper's Bazaar, which I don't, and that I maintained a blog called mrblasberg.com, which I've closed. It is extremely frustrating and I don't know why this person continually does this. Is there a way to stop them from doing that? When possible clients research me, I would like the accurate information to be seen on this site. Thank you. Derek Derekcblasberg (talk) 18:02, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You need to discuss these issues with the other editor at Talk:Derek Blasberg. There is a requirement for the article to be accurate so, for example, if you did run mrblasberg.com then it's reasonable to mention that with start and end dates if needs be to make the information accurate. You can help by providing accurate information but you can't omit parts because they are no longer current which is what your edits appear to have done. ou might also find WP:BIOSELF helpful. Nthep (talk) 18:13, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'm happy to include the existence of mrblasberg.com later in the 'Career' entry. I'm very proud of it. I omitted because I thought it would sound self-promotional or too long. But what is MOST IMPORTANT is that the information about my CURRENT EMPLOYMENT is accurate, and when the other editor repeatedly canceled my updates the outdated information would be reinstated. How do we show the other editor this conversation? Thanks, Derek Derekcblasberg (talk) 18:33, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
