Everlasting Man talk page

[edit]

Hello, Diocles,

Check the talk page for "The Everlasting Man" for a response to your deletion of the paragraph you saw as biased.

So, how would you write up the book? What is your balancing view on its contents, style, relevance, whatever? (I tried writing a sample opposite-viewpoint, but it sounded even shriller than you'd probably want.)

Lack of edit summaries and additions to states

[edit]

Hi! Someone has already removed some of the additions you made to various states about what residents "are called", and I have removed the rest. The information definitely duplicates what is in the articles, and in many cases was added to an inappropriate section. In some cases it may be relevant, and if you feel that it was, please go back and add it more carefully, AND always give an edit summary! Thanks! -- Whereizben - Chat with me - My Contributions 13:14, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Diocles, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Snowcrash.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Diocles. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 19:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
