If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Afroian requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Afroian, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Inks.LWC (talk) 00:04, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning; the next time you create an inappropriate page, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Inks.LWC (talk) 00:23, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest to put up links that are referring to the significance of this character. The links you set up were just links to the iTunes Store, which just makes it look like the article is just advertising the games instead of describing the character and its significance. I usually delete pages immediately because there are users who simply write only a few sentences and do not work on it ever again. They think Wikipedia is free advertising space, which is not. And the reason Mario has his own article is because the character has been known for a long time, it has established within America culture. Basically, it was a giant influence in modern culture. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 00:35, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, don't blank out my talk page. Second, you can use the sandbox for freedom to edit your page. You can also create a user sub page. It is like your personal sandbox, where you can save your article until it can be published. However, I suggest to not leave it in the sub page too long because it might be also considered as spamming, since you might treat the subpage as the actual article, which is something you should avoid. Here's something to get you started: User:Donlien/Sandbox. Click on it and start editing. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 00:45, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Donlien. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article AFROian, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:41, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
