Thank you for your recognition of Kenichi Mikawa. He is the most popular TV presenter like Mino Monta. His talk show program is full of much "owarai",Japanese traditional sence of showmanship!----Naotyan 04:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Gifu

Just a word of enthusiastic support for the work you've been doing on Gifu, Gifu. Are you planning to bring the article to featured status? Fg2 10:20, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd love to Gifu up to that level, but I'm at a bit of an impasse. I don't know what needs to be done to improve it. I've put it up for peer review and am waiting for any advice. And sorry for all the "Gifu City" references; I'm trying to break the habit. ;-) Thanks for your support. Douggers 13:28, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

reading of "宿"

I have a question about the reading of the Chinese character "宿" in your articles. In Japanese version Wikipedia, main writer of the category used "juku" as reading, and have been written such. However, it may be wrong. In Japanese version, the mistake can be easily corrected by edit. But in English-language version, moveing article will be needed. It is under check now about the right reading or agreed reading. In addition, my account of Wikipedia Japanese version is "nekosuki600". See you again, bye! --Nekosuki 10:40, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

in Japanese : あなたの記事の中の「宿」の読みについて、疑問があります。日本語版Wikipediaでは、あの一群の記事を書いた方が「じゅく」という読み方をしており、そのように書かれています。しかしながら、それは間違っています。日本語版では容易に編集対応で直せますが、英語版ですと記事移動が必要になってしまいます。いま、正しい読み・合意される読みについて討議中です。--Nekosuki 12:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. I've been going with the readings that I've seen when I've visited some of the places, so I'm pretty sure that some of them are "juku," but I'll change it if necessary. Douggers 11:48, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I explain a slight addition. Names of a place are a proper noun. Therefore, the same Kanji character can be read other pronunciation. For example, "御宿" is read with Onjuku, "安中宿" is read with An'nakashuku. Each proper noun articles must be written with correct pronunciation. However, I think the mass-produced writer of the post town in ja.wikipedia applied "juku pronunciation" to "character of 宿" automatically. I am very sorry some writers of ja.wikipedia has made you trouble. --Nekosuki 13:52, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
--Nekosuki 12:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I speak Japanese. I know the characters can be read different ways. But I've visited some of the post towns (馬籠宿 is "Magome-juku"), so I know some of them are written properly.
--Nekosuki 12:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
勉強になりました。ご説明をいただき、ありがとうございました。変遷が時間がかかりますが、必要がありますので、変遷します。日本語のWikipediaでの変遷を終えてから、お知らせください。それから、英語のWikipediaで、変遷を始めます。 Douggers 01:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Douggers,

I clicked that link and what comes up is a page advertising one-dollar porn etc. Nothing to do with Nobunaga. That's why I removed it from the article. Same before I deleted it and after you restored it. Not sure what's going on with that site... but what I see is clearly not what you see!

Fg2 09:29, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

The one I get is definitely not porn; that's a pretty weird situation. Here's a sublink to the page. Does something different come up? http://www.odanobunaga.com/zatsu.htm Douggers 13:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
No luck! Both Firefox (my default browser) when I click the link and IE (into which I pasted the address) tell me the domain is invalid, and when I try again I get that advertising page. Weird! Fg2 21:26, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Merger of battles of Azukizaka

Hiya. I noticed you've proposed a merger of the two battles of Azukizaka (1542 and 1564). It would be great if you could describe your reasons for suggesting the merger. Thanks. LordAmeth (talk) 02:12, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
