Marjan

[edit]

Hi Dromadar, could you tell me why you think Marjan and Marjan Hill are two separate things? I though you'd be glad to see that we're able to simply use "Marjan" (with no further explanations) for the hill above Split. This is a step up for the article. People have been wanting, for example, to rename Split into Split, Croatia for months now, but we managed to convince them that the city is important enough to remain the Split. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 06:20, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Direktor. Maybe my thinking is primitive here, but i was really just trying to differentiate the landform from the human settlement. I am open minded if my remarks stand in the way of a valid merge. By the way that is great that you have been able to keep the Split article from having to add the Croatia. So you may over-vote me and i am agreeable. Marjan is not the "hill i want to die on". (A little western humour here). Cheers. Dromadar (talk) 00:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
