November 2011[edit]

Hello! I'm a bot created by another Wikipedia editor. I wanted to let you know that I removed a link that you recently added to the page Nagios here. I did this because http://facebook.com/dropnagios is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:29, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Nagios with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Alpha 4615 (talk) 03:39, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding external links, as you did to Nagios. These links reduce the value of Wikipedia for the readers who depend on us for reliable information. If you continue adding external links of this kind, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
