Thank you to DGG, Romanspa & Neonorange (whoever you are). While I view Wikipedia pages all the time, I have never created one, so I obviously have a lot to learn. My old man has no idea I am doing this (and I am not sure I will tell him) but my HS daughter was browsing the other day and read about many of my father's and my collegues and asked the simple question: "Why doesn't Grandpa have a Wikipedia page?" It was great question that prompted me to create a tribute to a guy who could not even afford to go to college and wound up being appointed by two Presidents to preside as the top federal law enforcement officer over the very streets he grew up on.

I am aware of the copyright issues and agree they must always be respected. The quotes I used as published in the NY Times are quotes of AJM, a public official at the time, and are not likely entitled to copyright protection (though the other portions of those articles may be). If need be, I might be able to get in touch with someone at the NYTimes and get any clearance needed. Everything I wrote on the page can be verified, but I realize I did not take the time needed to do so and seek guidance here because so much of it is already in the public domain and was widely reported in all the NY media and beyond.

I could certainly add more stories about AJM, but thought brevity and relevance to the average reader would suffice. I look forward to working with you to cross the "Ts" and dot the "Is" here.
