Hi Dylanmckane - welcome to Wikipedia.

I'm just letting you know that I've had to undo one of your edits that ended up with the article The Co-operative brand being redirected to The Co-operative Group: there was some discussion of this previously with the article, and although the brand is administrated and mostly used by the Co-operative Group, it's also used by several other unconnected co-operatives and so it was thought it needed its own article.

If you've got any problems with this, feel free to use my talk page, or Wikipedia:WikiProject Cooperatives's pages.

Page moves

[edit]

Not sure what you were trying to do moving Crunchie back and forth, but it's generally worth discussing a page move on the talk page before going ahead with it. Thanks. --McGeddon (talk) 12:11, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You've moved this article seven times in the past ten minutes, now. If you're continually changing your mind about the name, please just stop and take it to the talk page. --McGeddon (talk) 12:15, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on TV3 Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Intelligentsium (talk) 18:46, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name of Irish state

[edit]

Hi Dylan, the official name of the Irish state is Ireland or Éire. Republic of Ireland is not the official name (and indeed its use as a name is variously discouraged by the state).

The question of whether to lead with Republic of Ireland or Ireland in the articles intro paragraph is a debated question. Please contribute on the article's talk page before making the change. --rannṗáirtí anaiṫnid (coṁrá) 19:50, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves, again

[edit]

Please be very careful about moving articles, particularly if you aren't really sure what to call an article, or are unfamiliar with Wikipedia's page move system. You seem to have left the Crunchie pages with "Talk:Crunchie" attached to "Cadbury Crunchie", by not moving the talk page during one of your many recent moves of this article; you've also created a large number of double redirects, which make it harder to navigate Wikipedia. If someone clicks the "Crunchie" link in the Keynsham article, they're now shown a blank double-redirect page, and have to click through again to get to the Crunchie article.

Unless there's an obvious typo or style issue, moving articles shouldn't be done lightly - it'd have been better to have the conversation, agree on a new title, and move the article once, making sure that all the links to it still worked. --McGeddon (talk) 11:27, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop moving articles without repairing double-redirects. Whenever you move an article, Wikipedia reminds you to check for and repair any double-redirects you may have created - if you're unwilling to do that, that's fine, but it means you shouldn't move the article. Just post a request on the talk page for someone else to move it. --McGeddon (talk) 12:06, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Cadbury Wispa Gold

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cadbury Wispa Gold, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This page does not need to exist. All of the information on this page can be found on the main Cadbury Wispa article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. magnius (talk) 12:04, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Metzo Restaurant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 14:12, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Falcon Holidays, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material.
