Welcome!

Hello, EDS30307, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Epworth Day School, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Epworth Day School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Peter.C • talk 12:29, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Epworth Day School for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Epworth Day School, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Epworth Day School until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. TomStar81 (Talk) 03:39, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

[edit]

Hello, a little confused on how we do this, so sorry. First time! We are submitting articles based on the rich heritage of our downtown Atlanta neighborhood, Candler Park. This is part of our neighborhood's pairing with the Atlanta Historical Society and the Atlanta Preservation Society. Don't know if we're doing this correctly -- we started with the heart of our historic neighborhood here --- Thank you, Candler Park Neighborhood Organization

If I may, I would suggest that you coordinate your efforts with the members of Wikipedia:WikiProject Atlanta, since their interests and your interests are apparently shared. I would also recommend that for the time being you spend some time contributing to the existing articles before starting new ones so as to better grasp how the community judges articles, and lastly I would suggest that when you create new articles (especially if you want to skip the contributing part) you do so within your userspace so that they can be improved on before being moved out to the article name space. If you have any questions about these suggestions, or if you need help with something, or if you just need advise about what to do, you can drop me a line on my talk page for help, or type {{help}} followed by your question here on the talk page and someone will be along to answer your question(s).
