Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Maritime republics, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Please don't paste that problematic category under all these articles, apparently willy-nilly. You really need to explain what you are doing, and how that vague category, where the very headnote says "Pages in this category should be moved to subcategories where applicable", is applicable to things that don't appear to be "empires" at all.
