Hope all is well

[edit]

Hello friend! I see that you're on and off Wikipedia, not a bad thing at all, but if you see this, I hope all is going well! -- Natalya 01:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Little edits here and there are always good - no worries about the not huge edit numbers; I think we're both in that club.  :) It's a good club, though - no pressure, not much stress, but still editing when we feel like it. Things are going well with me, busy (as per usual!), but it's nice to be back at the encyclopedia, even if in a limited fashion. -- Natalya 19:55, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion excercises

[edit]

Just a note, with the advent and importance of BLP, the final scenario to the CSD excercises has changed focus. Because of BLP, the page would either have to be cited or deleted. You might want to find another similar article for inclusion on your test!Balloonman 08:29, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for an admin coach

[edit]

Hi there ... I saw that you were listed as an active coach without a 'student' on the Admin Coatching/Status page and I was hoping to find a coach soon ... below is the message I left at the Admin coaching/Requests for Coaching page, but I thought it would be a good Idea to ask a coach directly as well - ... I've just looked at the block log and it looks like there have been over 1000 blocks that admin members have had to make within the past 24 hours! I couldn't believe it, but it just makes my case more clear that the admin community needs all the help it can get thanks, if you're interested, let me know and I'll do the best I can to make it as easy for you as possible ... I'm good at following directions and advice by my peers and I'm really easy to work with, Chris -- Ukt-zero (talk) 10:39, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Ukt-zero (talk · contribs) As an active member of the recent changes patrol I deal with vandalism and good-faith "practice" edits a lot - I enjoy helping new members and I have a very easy-going personality ... I'm all over the place as far as my areas of interest and I frequently let myself get 'sucked into the stream' by wiki-links and the random article articles button, which leads me to patrolling a wide variety of articles and improving them by adding information to them, cleaning them up so they are easier to read, correcting grammar, context and formatting as well as constantly removing vandalism ... I would LOVE to help with the admin duties, but I won't apply for the position until I get coaching from a current admin because I am determined not to nominate myself - I would like the current admin members to want me to join them ... if I am granted an admin position, I will use the admin functions sparingly and with other admin advice whenever possible - and it would be nice to be able to help out other users when they need an admin – I’m very anxious to get a coach …I'm usually on during the ‘’’graveyard shift’’’ Minnesota (CST) time – thanks Ukt-zero (talk) -- Ukt-zero (talk) 10:39, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Coaching Re-confirmation

[edit]

Hello, previously you expressed interest in participating in the Wikipedia:Admin coaching project. We are currently conducting a reconfirmation drive to give coaches the opportunity to update their information and capacity to participate in the project. Please visit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to update your status. Also, please remember to update your capacity (5th table variable) in the form of a fraction (eg. 2/3 means you are currently coaching 2 students, and could accept 1 more student). Thank you. Study at UW

[edit]

Hi! I'm part of a group at UW in Computer Science trying to make editing in Wikipedia easier. I'd love to talk to you and other Wikipedians in the Seattle area about your practices. You can find my webpage at [1] and email me from there or you can post on my talk page. Kayur (talk) 22:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
