SMcCandlish updated answer

[edit]

I've clarified my answer at WP:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2017/Candidates/SMcCandlish/Questions#Pointed question from Iridescent. It had seemed to me to be obvious when I originally wrote it that I would recuse from MoS-related stuff, given what I said in the answer overall, but on a re-read it's true I wasn't explicit about that, so I am now. Frankly, I don't expect any AT/MoS-related stuff to come up. We haven't had an RfArb about it in years, and the ARCAs we have had involved me as a "testifying" party, so I could not be an Arb in relation to them. I have so much interaction with the regulars at those P&G pages, a refusal to recuse on my part would be farcical.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  23:58, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PS, re "not opted in to allow for automated counts": If you mean this, I've been opted in since 2012.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  00:19, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification. Obviously, my concern wasn't enough to sway me from supporting... Ealdgyth - Talk 13:42, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I just didn't want anyone to think I was being cagey; I just forget people can't always read my mind. :-)  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  15:36, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
