User sent me the following email:

I have been unblocked by you for spamming. I dont quite understand what i have done wrong as i was providing valid links to a genuine website.

Easykobo.com is an interctive financial environment hub for Nigeria investory. it provides stock prices for nigerian companies, nigerian financial news, a stock game among other features. It is quite similar to bloomberg or google finance but the only difference is that easykobo is targeted towards Nigerian economy and Nigerian companies only.


Links to easykobo on Nigerian companies will be useful for people who need this information.


So i would like to request to be unblocked and that my links be reinstated as they are genuine like that you can verify for yourself.


maybe i have been unblocked because i tried to add links to all company pages on the same day, this is because i just found out about this and was excited.


but i assure you that those links are not spam and not advertisements.

I hope this clarifies any confusion i have caused. If you still have questions/suggestions please send them to me.

My response: Dear Easykobo, you should review our policy on external links, and see if you still want to continue down this path. You were adding links to your site to multiple articles in violation of our policy. Wikipedia is not a repository of links to external websites. I hope this information satisfies your question as to why they were removed and why you were blocked. Syrthiss (talk) 13:57, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
