Krill fishery[edit]

Hi Ebolred. I apologise for the warnings you received for your edits to krill fishery. These were in fact constructive, although they became entangled with genuine vandalism to a template, and an automated bot mistakenly identified your contributions as vandalism. I have reinstated your edits. Cheers. --Geronimo20 (talk) 23:43, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looking more closely at your additions, it appears that they are a copy violation of material from this website. You cannot just copy text from a website. Also the source you cite comes from a minor regional organisation which does not appear to be particularly authoritative or notable. It certainly doesn't warrant the space you are devoting to it. If the entry were to stand it would need to be rewritten as a brief summary of what was said on the website. I will leave things as they are for a day or two, in case you want to fix them, otherwise they will have to be reverted. --Geronimo20 (talk) 01:00, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so would you like to have a go at condensing your material to a short, succinct paragraph? Your citations are fine as they are. If you are interested you are very welcome to work on other articles as a Wikipedia editor, there are not enough editors working on fishing articles. I'm happy to give you a hand if you want. --Geronimo20 (talk) 02:28, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't place "helpme" templates on other users' pages. They belong on your own page. Someone might have seen that and thought Geronimo20 needed help, not you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 00:43, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mammals and Birds Excluder Device[edit]

Hi Ebolred. There are problems with this article. There is simply no way it can pass the Wikipedia criteria for noteability and reliable sources, and it is only a matter of time before some editor puts it up for deletion. A google search shows that the device always crops up in connection with yourself. It seems to have been trialled, but not commercially produced. It is an interesting and relevant device, but unless it comes into significant commercial use it does not warrant a Wikipedia article of its own. However there is a related article, Turtle excluder device. What I suggest is that we add something about it there. --Geronimo20 (talk) 08:14, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
