Artpace

[edit]

Hi! Are you doing an Art + Feminism meetup? I trimmed some recent additions to Mona Hatoum because they appeared to violate WP:PAID and were also unsourced. The others were WP:UNDUE.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 19:06, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I am doing an A+F meetup. Mostly trying to get used to editing again because I have a class doing an edit-a-thon coming up. I have no affiliation with Artpace other than participating in this edit-a-thon. Re: Hatoum, should I not include information about the residency? Thank you! Eccaldwell (talk) 19:24, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks, I will go a little easier on future reverts then. For Hatoum, include sourced exhibitions, but it's not necessary to list the curator and details of a residency. One of your editors just added a ginormous list of group shows for Hatoum, which does not belong as we don't keep indiscriminate lists, we're not a CV WP:NOTCV, and typically it's the solo shows that matter. If you want to suggest to them an area for improvement it would be Wikipedia links and external independent sources for the solo shows. Thanks. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 20:47, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. I know it was probably confusing with multiple edits happening. I was just trying to add to exhibitions, but your notes make great sense and I can reach out about the CV-like listings! Many thanks for your continued "coaching" here -- it is really helpful, as I am still learning as I am doing! Eccaldwell (talk) 21:04, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
