Please Do Not Spam with Adlinks[edit]

I appreciate the very nice pictures on some of the links you put on the J.A. Mara page, but they are NOT relevant to the bio of John Andrew Mara, which is the purpose of that page, so I took them out; if there's a picture of his HOUSE or ranchlands (but not of the CPR station named after him) those would be welcome items on the page. THEN you could get away with a link in the credit on the photo to the site where the picture originated; but I had to take these out as they're against Wiki policy. I left the Shuswap River ones in on sufferance, partly because although they're commercial they're very visually nice, and the pics are good; but it's the pics that are welcome, and any adaption of the historical/geographic texts; but there's no need to link to a full page, especially an advertising/commercial page. But since there's so little else on the Shuswap River I just left 'em as-is (for now). Please remember Wikipedia is not an advertising medium, or somewhere ads are welcome (at all), but rather a public information site; instead of four different B&B links, a link to a page outside of Wiki where all the Shuswap River accommodation links can be; but Wiki isn't a hotel directory, OK?Skookum1 04:58, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
