A tag has been placed on Eddie Masih requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Eddie Masih

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Eddie Masih. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:22, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

September 2009

[edit]

Hi. It looks like you're writing an article about yourself, given that your username and the name of your subject match fairly closely. I'd advise against this; if your accomplishments and work make you notable, chances are good someone else will write an article about you anyway. It's almost impossible to be unbiased when writing about yourself, and Wikipedia requires articles to be written from a neutral point of view. You'll want to have a look at our autobiography policy, which goes into further detail. If you believe that your subject is notable, and that there are news articles or other independent sources that say so, then you can request an article here. Until you've looked at some of these policies, please do not re-post the article at Eddie Masih. Repeatedly posting deleted content can result in your being blocked from editing. Thanks.
