"a film" cf. "film"

Your comment (02:15, 12 January 2013 (UTC)) about the image being from a film is incorrect. It always said simply "film," that is, without the indefinite article. The meaning is significantly different. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.126.108.127 (talk)

please clarify why my link in "Enterprise asset management" was removed. thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsahi.hdr (talkcontribs) 10:30, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

It wasn't even in the correct place (Please see WP:MOS)) and appears to be a spam link. Eeekster (talk) 00:15, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi - The copyright owner is sending an OTRS email today or tomorrow, if you can give this file a couple of days to stew. I also now realize that it wasn't low resolution, as intended, and a substitution is being made. Thanks!--Nixie9 (talk) 17:28, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia only isn't allowed. Either they release the rights for everyone or the file gets deleted. Eeekster (talk) 21:27, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi,

You flagged two of my pictures as violating copyright. Can you explain why they are a violation of copyright? Sosthenes12 (talk) 00:57, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Sosthenes12
Can you explain why they aren't? Eeekster (talk) 00:59, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, can you direct me to where it says that? I must have missed it. Sosthenes12 (talk) 01:00, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Sosthenes12
Missed what? All I see is you took photos of book covers and called them your own work. While the photograph is your work the book covers are not and that is why they are copyright violations. Eeekster (talk) 01:04, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, this may sound obvious to you but where does it say that in writing? Can you take me there? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sosthenes12 (talkcontribs) 01:05, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
And what about all the other book cover pictures on Wikipedia? Are they in violation as well? Thanks for your help. Sosthenes12 (talk) 01:02, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Sosthenes12
It does unless they are here under the fair use doctrine. Eeekster (talk) 01:04, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi,

Can you please direct me to the page where it says I have violated copyright? I am just trying to understand. If I made a mistake I will delete the photos myself! Sorry for the trouble.

First: Please stop indenting lines. As for copyright issues try reading your talk page. There are some nice links there. Eeekster (talk) 01:20, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi, this is about File:United 777 Dubai Intl Terminal 1.jpg that you tagged as missing evidence of permission.

This file is missing evidence of permission. It is sourced to http://students.washington.edu/joyceag/summer2012trip/around_the_world_5.html, and while a copyright tag has been applied, there is no proof that the author agreed to license the file under the given license. Unless a link to a webpage with an explicit permission is provided, or an email from the copyright owner is sent or forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, the image will be deleted after Wednesday, 23 January 2013. Please remove this template if a link to a webpage with an explicit permission is provided, or a tag with a volunteer response team ticket number has been added.

I am the owner of http://students.washington.edu/joyceag/summer2012trip/around_the_world_5.html and all the photos that I upload to http://students.washington.edu/joyceag/summer2012trip/around_the_world_5.html are all taken by me. I don't know if I should change the type of permission when I upload and mention previous publication site, but if I should, please let me know.

Thanks,

Can you please explain why you stamped [[1]] non-free, when the new photo uploaded is from the exact same source as the previous one that was being used? Other character pages for Days of our Lives are using the official portraits taken for each of the characters, not a still. Thanks. Partyclams (talk) 22:11, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

If you would just read what the tag says, you would know the answer. Eeekster (talk) 01:45, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Take notice that I own the copyright to "Black Swan at Marwell.jpg which is associated to my Wikipedia account Chrisf989.

The picture was taken by me on 02/09/2011 using my Samsung ES70 camera at Marwell Zoo in Hampshire UK.

The picture has my watermark on a website http://www.alladdinscaveinsurrey.co.uk and I also own and operate this website.

Hello Eeekster. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of File:Paint at the Horseshoe Tavern, September 25, 2012.jpg, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The other image has been deleted. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:41, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Okay, but I don't see why you felt you needed to tell me this. Eeekster (talk) 08:23, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Tegic Australia.. Company.

I have recently had encounters with this company and when trying to search some information on Wikipedia all i found is a company based in the US.. i believe some information needs to be provided on this rapidly growing australian company, the owner Jason Styles has won business awards for his structures in the business. would be great to start a new topic that will most certainly be contributed to overtime. Okay, but what's your point? Are you trying to argue that your edit was constructive even though it was nothing more than a malformed insertion of a template that doesn't exit? Eeekster (talk) 08:39, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Mike Manning (actor)

I just forwarded the email to that email address showing I have permission. Thank you! krenda5 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:09, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Media upload problem.

Hi! I just noticed that you tagged my file upload, File:Comparison of areas of sections of the unit circle using tau and pi.png, for deletion because it did not specify the license. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of this website: http://www.thepimanifesto.com/, you will find that it is available under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License, which I believe iscompatible with wikipedia. I am new to uploading files, (this is only the second one I've ever done), so I apoligize if I made a mistake somewhere. Could you take another look and help me fix where I managed to screw it up, which is almost certainly what happened). THanks! Tazerdadog (talk) 21:22, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
