Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization, person or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.

Request reason:

I am one user, trying to change the Essential Fish Habitat page. I work as a Essential Fish Habitat analyst, and have heard from colleagues that they are upset about the misinformation listed on the Essential Fish Habitat Wikipedia page. I have begun to put together a new page with references, but in the meantime, I put the links to the appropriate websites that list the correct essential fish habitat information. The misinformation from the essential fish habitat Wikipedia page has caused problems and we would like to ameliorate this issue by changing the information. I would appreciate you unblocking me so that I may fix this information. Efhcoordinator (talk) 13:59, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We would appreciate you posting a request, using {{unblock-un}} as you were instructed to above, that proposes a new username that avoids the conflict of interest and role-account issues the current one creates. Thank you. — Daniel Case (talk) 15:28, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Furthermore, if you were to be unblocked, I highly suggest that you don't go back to Essential fish habitat and replace a reasonably sourced article with nothing but a set of links. Doing so will likely result in another block. Until you figure out how Wikipedia works, I'd suggest you start with Talk:Essential fish habitat and discussing what you believe are problems with that page, along with suggestions for improvement. User:Ohnoitsjamie -- if it was a reasonably sourced article then Wikipedia itself wouldn't state that "its sources remain unclear because it has insufficient inline citations" as well as the fact that "This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standard." While listing those websites may not be to your standards, they are the websites that provide the accurate information.
"Needs cleanup" does not mean "blow away the article and replace with nothing but links." If you want to be unblocked, you need to be receptive to feedback from experienced editors. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:04, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
