Purplebricks is a fully interactive, 24/7 UK-based Hybrid Estate Agency. The company enables customers to buy, sell or let using it's online platform whilst receiving professional support from a dedicated Local Property Expert. It currently employees more than 150 personnel across the UK with it's HQ based in Shirley, Birmingham.
The Company
[edit]Purplebricks was conceived by former Burchell Edwards founders Michael & Kenny Bruce.
History
[edit]In March 2014, Former Capita boss Paul Pindar made a significant investment in the company.[1]
That same month former Virgin Media directors Will Whitehorn and James Kydd joined Purplebricks as a non-executive director and marketing director respectively. [2]
5 Months later Neil Woodford invested £7 Million into the growing start-up[3]
In May 2015, Purplebricks were named as the UK's number one startup of 2015 by Startups.co.uk [4]
Also in May Confused.com Marketing Director Joby Russell joined Purplebricks as their new Chief Marketing Officer [5]
26 months after it's initial launch, Purplebricks expanded in Northern Ireland [6]
