Jeffrey Montano's peer review of Polymer chemistry article[edit]

This article is very elaborate and extensive. The intro paragraph and the “polymers and their properties” sections are very well written, and I wouldn’t mess with them too much.

I also wouldn’t do too much with the “classifications” section, but it could be cleaned up a little. Perhaps, a list of bullet points for each classification would make it easier to navigate.

Perhaps a place to improve this article is by adding a section about types of reactions, I know peptide synthesis and Merrifield resins are useful reactions and sub straits (respectively) that deal with polymer chemistry. Maybe discuss the predominant industrial uses of polymer chemistry. Some of the pictures seem a little redundant.

Other than that I think this is an extremely well developed article.

Good luck!

I agree the intro is good enough, but I don't think the article is really that extensive. The classifications section only has bio/synthetic and composites, which isn't really a classification but a use for polymers, especially from a chemical sense. There are other ways to classify polymers that are not present. I have included a section for techniques, but I feel industry uses would fall more underneath polymer engineering. I haven't addressed the pictures, but that might be the next place to deal with.ElliotNestor (talk) 06:51, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
