The article Herbert Adams Gibbons has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable author, seems to fail WP:AUTHOR.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Ends of the Earth Club sources
[edit]Hi, do you have a source for the section about Disney's nightclub being inspired by the Ends of the Earth Club? I nominated your article to go on the main page in the did you know? section, and the reviewer says it needs a citation for this. Thanks, —innotata 16:26, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Innota! Thanks for the nomination! I don't have any evidence that Disney knew of the Ends of the Earth Club when it created the Adventurer's Club. I am only saying that the club is similar to what Disney ended up creating. Disney may have known of the club or a similar club. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elliott016 (talk • contribs) 18:33, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, sorry, that doesn't belong in the article, so I've removed it. Wikipedia doesn't allow any personal speculation or original research; it's just based on what we can find in sources.
- If you want to add a little more (sourced) information to the article, it can still be featured in DYK. —innotata 19:58, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't speculating. I was stating that the original club was similar to the type of club that Disney created. I can find ample sources for that, and add a citation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elliot016 (talk • contribs) 23:26, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- If there isn't any actual inspiration from the Ends of the Earth Club at the Disney resort, just a vague similarity, that probably doesn't belong in the article, as it would either be speculation or not something worth noting in an article on the Ends of the Earth Club rather than Disney. —innotata 00:46, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! I appreciate your help with the article!
