January 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Silixa-UK", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because usernames that unambiguously consist of a name of a company, group, institution are not allowed. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Dawnseeker2000 15:44, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

February 2013[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Distributed acoustic sensing. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Dawnseeker2000 02:43, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

April 2013[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Distributed acoustic sensing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — HHHIPPO 15:54, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's what you can do:
  • If you feel the article is lacking relevant information, add it to the article text, together with references to reliable, secondary sources.
  • If you want to add a link to a company webpage, as a source or as an item for further reading, discuss it on the article's talk page first.
  • If you are in any way affiliated with that company, please take the time to have a careful look at WP:COI.
