Maya civilization
[edit]Hi Eluminary,
Thanks for your edit to Maya civilization - unfortunately the information is no longer current and I undid your edit. Such terms as "Old Empire" and "New Empire" have fallen into disuse, they were first suggested before Maya script had been deciphered, on the assumption that the Maya had politically unified empires. In the past two decades great advances have been made in deciphering Maya script and the chronology has been rewritten. It is now known that the Maya were never unified politically and instead were divided into competitive city-states. Maya chronology is now divided into Preclassic (Early, Middle and Late), Classic (Early and Late) and Postclassic (Early and Late). More detail on this can be found at Mesoamerican chronology. Deletion discussion about The Little Chapel That Stood
[edit]Hello, Eluminary,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether The Little Chapel That Stood should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Little Chapel That Stood .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
