No problem. Don't worry about it. :) Grapesoda22 (talk) 03:58, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Abby Johnson (activist), abortion on Wikipedia, WP:BRD[edit]

Hi Erink1993,

First, a general message about editing abortion-related articles on Wikipedia:

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding Abortion, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

One of the key things you should note is that abortion-related articles are under a WP:1RR restriction. Even if this were not the case, your decision to revert my edit is a violation of the principles of the bold-revert-discuss cycle, which suggests that after having one's edit reverted, one should begin a discussion on the article talk page. Had you done so, you might have noticed that this issue has come up repeatedly, and that there has in the past been a strong consensus in favor of keeping the "anti-abortion" language, with good reason. I request that you revert yourself and begin a discussion on the talk page.
