Hello, ExpEco14 -- Welcome to Wikipedia! I've accepted the above article because I believe the subject meets the relevant guideline for notability (WP:PROF). However it would be ideal if you could add more sources independent of the subject and his institution to support his notability. Books, magazines, journal articles and national newspapers are ideal sources. Without this the article might be vulnerable to requests for deletion. You could also start a Selected publications section with any books and a few of his highest-cited research papers (3–5). If you need help then feel free to ask on my talk page or the Teahouse is a friendly forum for new editors.
