Michael R. Taylor

[edit]

Michael R. Taylor became a staff attorney for the Food and Drug Administration in 1976, where he became executive assistant to the Commissioner.[1] [2] In 1981 he went into private practice at King & Spaulding, a law firm representing Monsanto, [3] where he established and led the "food and drug law" practice.[4] On July 17, 1991, Michael Taylor left King & Spaulding, returning to the FDA to fill the newly created post of Deputy Commissioner for Policy. Between 1994 and 1996 he was Administrator of the USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service. After briefly returning to King & Spaulding, from 1998 until 2001 he was Vice President for Public Policy at Monsanto. Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).

I'm trying to determine the dates of his tenure as senior fellow at the think tank Resources for the Future. This may require a phone call..

In 2007 Taylor became a Research Professor at George Washington University in Washington D.C.

On July 7, 2009, Mr Taylor once again returned to government as "senior advisor" to the Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration for the Obama administration. [5]

On January 13, 2010 again filled a newly created post at the FDA, this time as Deputy Commissioner for Foods. [6]

I removed the approaches section from this article. If you wish to add information to a Biography it must be sourced. Cheers AIRcorn (talk) 03:28, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
