AID[edit]

If you have time, please take a look at my concerns about the Article Improvement Drive nomination of Cold War posted here. Thanks. 172 23:23, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there![edit]

First off, I'd like to thank you for taking over the AID; I'm sort of the AID Good Will Ambassador. Also: where do you get those cool WP:Babel bars? I took two of yours (Firefox and mad scientist), but is there like a complete list somewhere? -Litefantastic 01:03, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lifting the barrier to 4 votes per week on WP:AID[edit]

There is currently a vote going on whether to lift the barrier to 4 votes per week on WP:AID. Since you help maintain the project, maybe you would wish to vote. --Dijxtra 11:34, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your notification towards log, if I remove two candidates at a time then i sign two times. Is there something wrong to do so? Regards, Shyam (T/C) 06:24, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How come you removed New England, it still had another week? Behun 04:51, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for looking into it.

Steven, thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure the remove the expired entries the next time I do maintenance. By the way, are you Chinese American? (^'-')^ Covington 03:08, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. My aunt on my dad's side is Chinese Canadian. It's nice to meet other people of Chinese descent in other places of the world. Take care. (^'-')^ Covington 23:08, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of agoldenroad's vote on AID[edit]

Please see my comment on AID regarding agoldenroad's vote for Amazon Rainforest. -Scottwiki

Thanks for replying on my talk page. In your reply, you've argued, "a person that only has 1 contribution, which is to vote for the AID, is as good as a IP user, for the fact that they may not be real accounts. Otherwise, why do we not allow IP users to vote on AID as well?" I still disagree. ACupOfCoffee left a welcome message for agoldenroad on 3 April. Why would someone set up a fake account on or before 3 April, simply in order to submit a single AID vote five days later? The more plausible presumption, in my view, is that agoldenroad is a newbie who hasn't had much time yet to contribute to Wikipedia, but is interested in Amazon rainforests. Accordingly, I plan to restore agoldenroad's vote, unless you can persuade me otherwise. -Scottwiki 04:08, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you now. (See my new comment on the Amazon Rainforest nomination.) -Scottwiki 07:57, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AID Maintenance[edit]

Steve,

Thanks for finishing up this week's rollover. I apologize I didn't get a chance to do it even though I signed up for it; I was travelling all day on Sat and felt very tired on Sun.

Thanks again,

Notability of Tribal Wars[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tribal Wars, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 03:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I thought it odd that someone with your edit history would post such an article. Realkyhick 03:49, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
