If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Body Rocka, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —KuyaBriBriTalk 16:42, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the Body Rocka article as it was unambiguous advertising. PhilKnight (talk) 17:14, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Body Rocka, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.bodyrocka.com.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Recreation of deleted pages

[edit]

I have deleted Body rocka and Body Rocka, each for the second time. Please do not recreate pages that have been deleted without discussing it with the deleting admin, thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 14:45, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your question on my talk page. First off, the articles were deleted per Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion item G11, which reads "G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion. Pages that are exclusively promotional, and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion." I also note that there do not need to be two copies of an article, as one title could just be a redirect to the other - see WP:REDIRECT. The article had also been tagged as a copyright violation of the bodyrocka website by CorenSearchBot, which is also grounds for speedy deletion.
When comparing the deleted article to the Shake Weight article, Shake Weight has 10 inline references, 8 of which come from reliable sources independent of the product, and is written in a fairly neutral point of view. Much of the article is about the reaction to the product, not something that sounds like an ad. Please see WP:V, WP:CITE, WP:RS, WP:NPOV, and WP:SPAM. In comparison, the deleted article had no inline references, although it did link to a Wikipedia page (which is not a reliable source), the product's own web page (again not a reliable source), and one newspaper article which mentioned the product. It read like an ad and did not discuss any reaction to the product. Another concern is whether this product meets notability guidelines.
In the future, please click on the "New section" tab at the top to add a new thread to someone's talk page (on my talk page the top is for headers, not new conversations, and on Slp1's talk page you overwrote someone else's post, which is not done). Also if you want to link to an article like Shake Weight, then please type in [[Shake Weight]], instead of pasting in the whole URL. Yours, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 17:07, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like Ruhrfisch has pretty much covered the information about your article. I would just emphasize that the main key is that this product needs show that it is notable in some way. In other words there need to be (non-advertising) sources in newspapers, books, magazines etc about Body Rocka, to show that it is something that needs an encyclopedia article. This is an encyclopedia not an advertising service, and you absolutely can't copy and paste copyrighted material here either. Slp1 (talk) 22:22, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
