Florida's Route Numbers
[edit]This is a comprehensive, detailed log of all Florida Route Numbers which have been added, deleted, and proposed in the Florida's State Highway System and State Secondary System.
In the mid-1970s, the [Florida Department of Transportation] introduced four-digit route numbers by way of a legislative law. This was done to alleviate confusion among the multiple uses of a single number. Most of the four-digit routes were planned for the more minor roads in urban areas, while others were placed in as alternatives for repeat routes. Today, about half of Florida's 67 counties utilize this system; they are Okaloosa, Walton, Bay, Gulf, Liberty, Gadsden, Leon, Taylor, Suwannee, Columbia, Nassau, Saint Johns, Flagler, Marion, Volusia, Osceola, Seminole, Alachua, Putnam, and Clay.

Florida State Road 600As
[edit]I don't know if you still lurk on the site, but your original article on Florida State Road 600A claimed that there were three Florida State Roads that had that designation. So far I've only found two. The one along Manhattan Avenue in Southwest Tampa, and the other is currently Florida State Road 546.
